Brian “The Hawaiian Punch” Viloria collapsed in his dressing room and was taken to a hospital after his fight with Colombia’s Carlos Tamara in an IBF light flyweight title fight. Brian suffered 12th round TKO loss. Referee Bruce McTavish stopped the fight 1:45 into the 12th round.
Viloria complained of chest pains and headache inside his dugout after the fight and collapsed.
Brian Viloria is now in stable condition after being rushed to the San Juan De Dios Hospital. He was later transferred to the Makati Medical Center since San Juan De Dios did not have the proper equipment to treat his injuries.
He will not be flying home to the United States for at least 10 days to return to the hospital to make sure that there is no brain swelling.
