Rubi is a pinoy remake of a Mexican Telenovela Rubi that aired in Televisa in 2004.
Rubi is the story of a woman full of secrets that will destroy the lives of the people closest to her heart once the truth comes out. As someone who’s fed up with her family’s poverty-stricken life, Rubi learns how to play her cards right to get what she wants even at the expense of her loved ones. How far will she go for the sake of her pursuit of power and wealth? Will she give up the man who truly loves her in favor of the one who showers her with everything that money can buy? CAST AND CHARACTERS:

	Angelica Panganiban as Rubi Delgado – Rubi is the type who will do whatever it takes in order to be rich and famous. For that to happen, she befriends an unsuspecting classmate who comes from a well-off family and uses that connection to achieve her evil schemes. What happens though when she discovers that the good life she has always dreamt of is not as rewarding as being with the person who truly owns her heart?
	Shaina Magdayao as Maribel Morales – She is beautiful but very insecure due to her physical disability. But the fact that her adoptive parents have kept her pampered all her life has somehow compensated for her inferiority complex. She begins to open up to other people when she meets Rubi who defends her from the people who try to bring her down. When will she realize that her champion has the worst of intentions after all?
	Diether Ocampo as Dr. Hector dela Merced – He was supposed to take over his family’s thriving luxury liner business, but he defies his mother’s wishes by pursuing a career in medicine instead. He finally agrees to his mom’s choice of a bride, but will he be able to resist temptation when he is faced with the allure of Rubi?
	Jake Cuenca as Dr. Alejandro Gomez – His dream of becoming a doctor becomes a reality with the help of a scholarship grant from the foundation that Hector’s family has built. But since he’s a close friend of Hector, Rubi mistakenly concludes that he’s also filthy rich which is why she sets her eyes on him first. How will Alejandro prove to her that he is worthy of her love despite his humble beginnings?
