Ricky Hatton turns suspicious about Pacquiao‘s winnings in an interview of the English-language newspaper based in Abu Dhabi in the UAE, “The National“.
Hatton, who was knocked down and destroyed by Pacquiao in the 2nd round of their bout last year wished that he should have made the same demands like Floyd Mayweather Jr. did about undergoing blood-testing before their fight.
“I could have had those rules, but I wasn’t bothered. Maybe in hindsight, I should have done,”
Hatton also admits to be puzzled by Manny Pacquiao‘s fights winning and knocking down a much bigger opponents.
“I must admit, I fancied my chances against Manny. A few years ago he was getting knocked down by little men like (Juan Manuel) Marquez, then all of a sudden he is knocking out Oscar de la Hoya, myself and (Miguel) Cotto, who are powerhouses in comparison.”
Hatton also added that Floyd Mayweather might be right that Manny Pacquiao is using illegal drugs.
“It is a little bit strange. He could be on what Floyd is accusing him of [performance-enhancing substances], or it could be that he is just a great fighter who has improved. We will never know if Pacquiao is indeed clean or not.”
Hatton, who has put his boxing career on a long hiatus after losing his fight with Pacquiao, also faced Floyd Mayweather a couple of years ago and lost by the tenth-round.

Floyd not coming out of retirment unti manny declines. Just offer with it. He is a scared man working from his opponents primes. Was completely shocked and shocked he could defeat a shot fighter like Oscar De La Hoya so substantially that he cried when he won. Couldnt imagine he had ample to beat Hatton a club fighter so a lot he threw a celebration in the ring. Then he made the decision that was too scary and close so he went the senior circuit with fats slob JMM and Shane Mosley upcoming to make positive he wouldnt be so emotionally concerned about losing the fight.
