Maria Venus Raj is the next Miss Universe!
I’m gonna wait this event if who will take the crown to their country. The titled MISS UNIVERSE 2010. Miss Universe 2010 pageant shows the different beauties, talents, intellect, and all kinds of personality of every country. Every year, the universe searches for the most beautiful, the most poised, and the most intellectual and woman on the face of the universe. But I’m hoping that Venus could take it.

Venus Raj unconsciously worked out her answer in native language and then vocalized her response in second language. The hard lesson learned is that, even if a Philippine beauty candidate can speak English, she should opt to avail of interpreter service, as Miss Mexico did. After all, it’s a beauty contest and not a public speaking contest. Linguists will agree that a non-native speaker, even if advanced in level, may be unable to respond with spontaneous eloquence in second language during a time-sensitive, public situation. Still, making Top 5 is a major, major feat indeed, so… “CONGRATULATIONS, MISS RAJ!”
filipino tend to be repetitive…very obvious….like maraming maring salamat, ang saya saya and the like…it should be corrected in school,at home and special lectures…an no offensement to gay lingual…it is one of the reasons why Filipinos dowgrade their fluency in english as well as in Filipino language…it is a minor mistake but it has a major impact in our fluency… syang…..at nakakabahala din yung jejemon…mhen…ano ang nangyayari sa wika natin.
