PBA legend Allan Caidic showed NBA legends why he was called “The Triggerman,” in the 2010 NBA Asia Challenge held at the Araneta Coliseum on Friday.
The 47-year-old Caidic scored 54 points that lead the Red Team, 177-167 win over the White team in the 2010 NBA Asia Challenge.
NBA stars Gary Payton, Mitch Richmond, Chris Webber, and Glen Rice were all in awe as Caidic helped the team with his incredible three-point shooting. NBA stars heard a lot about him and made them a believer after he steals the show with his back to back shots from afar that night. NBA D-League star and former PBA import Richie Frahm even get his jersey signed by Caidic.
Allan Caidic, now an assistant coach of Barangay Ginebra, shoots 14 three-pointers and 6 other field goals in just 24 minutes of play.
8,000 basketball aficionados watched on Araneta Coliseum for the second consecutive NBA Asia Challenge, featuring Legends and current stars from the NBA, PBA and NBA D-League. They were served a night of reminisce.
NBA Challenge followed a traditional face off between foreign squads, organizers made a twist this year by coming up with teams that are a mixture of PBA, NBA and D-League members.
