A new born baby boy was found in a trash bin of a Gulf Air plane that arrived from Bahrain on Sunday morning. The baby born inside the Gulf Air plane was abandoned by her mother after giving birth in the toilet. The baby covered in blood and tissue paper was immediately checked by Filipino doctors, the baby is healthy, weighing around 3 kilos. Airport medical staff named the child George Francis – based on Gulf Air‘s airline code, GF.
Airline staffers buy clothes and things for the baby George Francis. The boy is considered a “miracle baby” after being thrown in the trash bin, and an angel to many.
Investigators found out blood spots on seat no. 40-D. They found out that she was travelling alone and the 80th passenger on the flight. Speculations arise that the boy’s mother could be a domestic worker in the Middle East.
George Francis was brought to the Department of Social Welfare and Development Center (DSWD). The mother or a relative should be able to claim the child within 3 months as provided by law. If no one claims the baby boy within 3 months, he is considered abandoned, and is free for adoption.
