Malacañang has declared Monday, October 25, a non-working holiday for the nationwide Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections.
President Benigno Aquino III on Wednesday signed Proclamation No. 48 declaring the October 25 a non-working holiday, the Palace said.
Around 672,400 elective posts in 42,025 barangays are at stake in the local polls.
