TYPHOON JUAN: SIGNAL NO. 4 RAISED IN CAGAYAN AND ISABELA

 

Typhoon Juan (international codename Megi) intensified into a “super typhoon” and is expected to make landfall in Cagayan province by Monday morning.

Signal number 4 has been raised over Cagayan and Isabela provinces.

Public storm warning signal number 3 has been raised over the Calayan and Babuyan group of islands, Batanes, Apayao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Quirino, and northern Aurora.

Typhoon “JUAN” was located at 320 km East of Aparri, Cagayan. (18.2°N, 125.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 225 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 260 kph. Moving Westward at 22 kph. Estimated central pressure: 938 hpa.
