Apple chief executive Steve Jobs released two new MacBook Air laptop in an event called “Back to the Mac” on Wednesday in Cupertino, Calif..
Introducing the MacBooks Airs, Steve Jobs explained, “We asked ourselves: What would happen if a MacBook and an iPad hooked up?” “We think it’s the future of notebooks,” Jobs added, “We think all notebooks will be like this one day.”

The New MacBook Air will come in two versions, the larger version have a 13.3-inch screen while the smaller sibling have an 11.6-inch screen. The new MacBook Air is Apple’s lightest and most portable notebook ever.
These next generation notebooks replaced hard drives or optical drives with Flash Memory described by Jobs as faster, more reliable, lighter and smaller.
MacBook Air features a full-sized keyboard, glass Multi-Touch trackpad, FaceTime, Intel Core 2 Duo processors and NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics, 11.6-inch or 13.3-inch high-resolution LED-backlit display and Mini DisplayPort to connect your 27-inch Apple LED Cinema Display, projector or HD TV, Ultra-fast 802.11n Wi-Fi networking
The 11-inch and 13-inch MacBook Air are immediately available through the Apple Store (www.apple.com), Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers.

Apple also showed off improved versions of its popular iLike, iMovie, and Garage Band software tailored for tasks such as photo, video, and music editing on Macintosh computers and a sneak peek of Mac OS X Lion.
