No more free music as Limewire stops its file-sharing service. US District Court Judge Kimba Wood ordered the closure of Limewire‘s peer-to-peer, or P2P technology that allows its users to trade their music or other files from the internet.
The RIAA and the music labels it represents have accused LimeWire and its chief executive, Mark Gorton, of willfully enabling widespread copyright infringement.
They posted a legal notice on their website:
“This is an official notice that LimeWire is under a court-ordered injunction to stop distributing and supporting its file-sharing software. Downloading or sharing copyrighted content without authorization is illegal.”
Now, its time to search for a Limewire-like software. Hmmm, any suggestions? (joke!). Personally, I don’t use this kind of softwares because there are also lots of free virus and free malware, or untrusted files.

The bad thing with limewire is that it was FULL of bad files, viruses, trojans, and spyware. Hopefully this will be a positive sign in cleaning up the internet.
