A royal wedding is coming up next year after the announcement on Tuesday about Prince William’s engagement to his longtime girlfriend Kate Middleton. The couple got engaged in October while having a vacation in Kenya.
According to reports, Royal officials announced that Prince William will marry Catherine Middleton in 2011 spring or summer in London. Prince William gives Princess Diana‘s blue sapphire and diamond engagement ring to Kate.

Prince William and Kate Middleton who are both 28 years old met in 2001 while they were studying art history at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
Kate Middleton comes from a middle-class family. Her father was a former pilot and her mother was a flight attendant before becoming self-made millionaires with their children’s party business, where Kate now works. But before that, Kate worked as a buyer for the fashion chain Jigsaw.
She is being compared to Prince William’s late mother, Princess Diana, after her relationship with Prince William became public and became one of the most photographed women in Britain.

Kate and William’s happiness is written in the stars. You were born together, and together you shall be for evermore….but let there be spaces in your togetherness. And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.
I am really happy for Kate, I think she really earned it. It will be a great marriage I guess, as they have allready some fight behind them and are still together.
It’s pretty clear that she has been working. Yes, it’s her parent’s firm, but that doesn’t mean that she hasn’t actually worked. It just means that nobody has a right to criticise her.” – Firin, ex-pat, UK. She has never had to deal with difficult bosses, obstructive colleagues, performance reviews, commutes, and the stress of having your job depend on pleasing said boss/clients/customers. These are the elements of a proper job. I refer back to my original comment that she has never had a proper job. Being the bosses’ daughter does not count. Given how often she was out on the party circuit, and given her desire, reported in this newspaper today, to be a stay at home wife with few engagements, there is reasonable doubt that she worked that hard at her parents’ firm.
