Legendary comedian Leslie Nielsen died of complications from pneumonia on November 28, 2010, he was 84. He died at around 5:30 pm during his sleep in a hospital near his home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, surrounded by his wife, Barbaree and friends.
Leslie Nielsen was best known for his comedic role in the “Naked Gun” trilogy and “Airplane,” but before that, he was both a dramatic actor and a handsome leading man during the first phase of his career in Hollywood.

His deadpan delivery of a line in the movie “Airplane” as Dr. Rumack was the turning point of his career and eventually became his trademark.
Rumack: “Can you fly this plane, and land it?,”
Striker: “Surely you can’t be serious!”
Rumack: “I am serious… and don’t call me Shirley.”
RIP Leslie Nielsen.
