Miss India Nicole Faria was crowned Miss Earth 2010. She was also the first Indian beauty to win the said pageant.
The 10th Miss Earth beauty pageant was held at Vinpearl Land in Nha Trang, Vietnam on Saturday Dec. 4, 2010. It was also the first time the contest was held outside the Philippines. Miss Earth 2009 Larissa Ribeiro Ramos of Brazil crowned her successor during the event.
The 20-year-old model from Bangalore was an early favorite to win the crown. Nicole Faria bested other contestants with her belly dancing performance combined with Indian traditional dance, and earned the award Miss Talent.

Nicole Faria will serve as a spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations as part of her duties for winning the Miss Earth 2010 title.
Miss Ecuador Jennifer Pazmino crowned Miss Earth Air, followed by Miss Thailand Watsaporn Wattanakoon crowned Miss Earth Water and Miss Puerto Rico Yeidy Bosquez crowned Miss Earth Fire.
Included in the final seven were: Miss Japan Marina Kishira, Miss South Africa Nondyebo Dzingwa and Miss Venezuela Maria Angela Bonanni.
Miss Earth 2010 was hosted by Oli Pettigrew, host of AXN’s Sony Style program, together with singer Marie Digby and beauty queen Jennifer Pham. Ronan Keating performed in the glittering show.
