Life can change in a snap, sometimes for the better, other times for the worse. No matter what the universe throws at you, at least you have family by your side. This is the lesson Jimmy Chance (Lucas Neff) learns in Jack TV’s newest family comedy, Raising Hope. Catch the Special Pilot Preview Episode on December 25, Saturday at 8PM before the exclusive season premiere next year.
From Emmy Award winner Greg Garcia (My Name is Earl), Raising Hope follows the story of the Chance family and how they go about welcoming an unexpected new member into their already dysfunctional household.

On December 25, meet Jimmy, a 23-year old pool cleaner who is going nowhere in life. Partying every night, he still lives at home with his zany family made up of his Maw Maw (Cloris Leachman), his mother Virginia (Martha Plimpton) and his father Burt (Garret Dillahunt). His life takes a drastic turn after a chance romantic encounter with a wanted felon, Lucy (guest star Bijou Philips). After a couple of months Jimmy learns that he is to be a father and is charged with raising their daughter Hope as Lucy is now in prison. Less than enthusiastic about the news of a new addition to the household, his parents, who had him when they were 15, still know nothing about raising a child and have no interest in trying again.
Further complicating things is checkout clerk Sabrina (Shannon Woodward) who has caught the attention of Jimmy. How can he work up the nerve to ask her out while figuring out how to look after a baby?
Stepping into the unpredictable and challenging world of parenting with what little useful skills they have, can the Chance family be successful in Raising Hope with their hearts in the right place?
