Selina Kyle and her alter ego Catwoman is back in the latest Batman movie, Christopher Nolan’s “The Dark Knight Rises.” Anne Hathaway grabs the coveted role as Batman’s love interest/villain.
According to reports, Jessica Biel and Keira Knightley also auditioned for the role, but it’s Anne Hathaway that was given the go signal to portray Catwoman in “The Dark Knight Rises.”

“I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Anne Hathaway, who will be a fantastic addition to our ensemble as we complete our story,” Christopher Nolan said.
Meanwhile, Inception’s Tom Hardy will play Bane, best known for breaking Batman’s back.

Christopher Nolan stated, “I am delighted to be working with Tom again and excited to watch him bring to life our new interpretation of one of Batman’s most formidable enemies.”
Christian Bale returns as Bruce Wayne/Batman.
“The Dark Knight Rises,” Nolan’s third installment of his Batman trilogy will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company. The film will be released on July 20, 2012.
