Make way for an all-new group of girls, all-new photo shoots, all-new runways and all-new drama on ETC’s new home. America’s Next Top Model Cycle 16 premieres this March 3, Thursday in its new timeslot of 9PM on ETC which is now seen on RPN.
Seen first and exclusively on ETC, America’s Next Top Model Cycle 16 is one of the channel’s match-aired shows and airs just days after its initial U.S. screening. Leading the girls in their quest for fashion dominance is former supermodel Tyra Banks. Having worked in the industry since she was a teenager, Banks shares her experience with the wannabe models hoping to find a worthy successor.
Helping her transform the girls is runway coach J. Alexander and photo shoot director Jay Manuel. Together they challenge the contestants weekly through runway walk off’s, press interviews, commercial shoots and photo shoots. Each week one girl who has shown the least potential and growth is sent home, ending her chance at being America’s Next Top Model. At stake is a contract with international modeling agency IMG Models, a fashion spread in Vogue Italia and an additional spread and cover of Beauty in Vogue.
Judging the girls this season is Vogue Editor-at-large André Leon Talley, photographer Nigel Barker and Banks herself. Lending their expertise as guest judges this cycle is famed stylist Rachel Zoé, Gossip Girl’s costume designer Eric Daman, model Erin Wasson and Vogue Italia Editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani.
