You can’t even see the water in Redondo Beach, California as millions of floating dead anchovies covered the water, surprising boaters on Tuesday morning.

There were no signs of chemicals in the water. According to an official, the school of fish might have been chased by a shark or a whale, then a single fish headed to the marina and other fish follows. The school of fish can’t figure out their way back causing the oxygen level in the small area to decrease creating the mass die-offs.
