Written originally by James Bond creator Ian Fleming, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” is set to fly and capture children’s imagination once again. The new books about the magical car is written by novelist and screenwriter Frank Cottrell Boyce (Millions).
Ian Fleming created the story of the magical car as a bedtime story for his son Caspar. The tale was made into a book and was published in 1964, two months after Fleming died.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang: The Magical Car was eventually made into a musical film in 1968 and a stage musical in 2002.
In the sequel the story is set into the modern world and will center around a family who discover an an old racing car engine and used it to soup up their VW camper van. Chitty comes back to life and flies the family around the world, reports said.
Three new books will be published soon. The first will be published in November.
