MUFFIN TOP
Oxford English Dictionary (OED) Online added new words in its latest update published on March 24, 2011.
The update includes the word muffin top (made popular by the sitcom Seinfeld) defined in OED as (A roll of flesh which hangs visibly over a person’s (esp. a woman’s) tight-fitting waistband).
Text-speaks were also added like OMG – oh my God!, LOL, – laughing out loud, and FYI – for your information.
And for the first time Oxford English Dictionary has added the symbol ♥, like that of the famous ‘I ♥ NY’ tourism campaign.
Indeed, words are evolving.
