Nintendo officially announced that there will be a second-generation Wii console coming in 2012, confirming the rumors about Wii 2 dubbed as Project Cafe which surfaced in the past few days.
Several sources claim that the new Wii console will be more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, runs games at HD, and the new controller will have 6-6.2-inch touchscreen.
According to Nintendo’s official press release, they will show a playable model of the new system and more specifications of the new Wii will be revealed at the E3 Expo, which will be held June 7-9, 2011, in Los Angeles.

Looking forward to seeing the Wii 2 the console has been left behind some what since Xbox Kinect. Since then it lost its unique selling point and Microsoft console was always know as the serious game players tool.
