Dominique Strauss-Kahn, Head of IMF, Arrested for Alleged Attempted Rape on a New York Hotel Maid

IMF Chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn allegedly sexually assaulted a Hotel maid in New York. Strauss-Kahn who has been widely expected to seek the Socialist nomination for President of France in 2012, was pulled off from an Air France flight in the plane’s first-class cabin and arrested without handcuffs by police.

The maid told police that she entered Strauss-Kahn‘s room at the Sofitel on West 44th Street without knowing he was there. He emerged from the bathroom naked, then he threw her on his bed and began to sexually assault her, she fought him off, then he dragged her into the bathroom and forced her to perform oral sex on him but she managed to get away again. He tried to lock her, but she escaped and alerted her colleagues to call 911.

The victim was treated in a hospital for trauma.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn was taken into custody by the NYPD for questioning. He was pulled off from an Air France Flight, two minutes before take off.

A police official said Dominique Strauss-Kahn will be charged with a “criminal sexual act, unlawful imprisonment and attempted rape.

In 2008, Strauss-Kahn was also investigated in connection with a sexual relationship with a female subordinate.
