If you happen to pass by Rome’s Termini train Station and saw a bronze sculpture, don’t be alarmed, it’s the new statue of Pope John Paul II and not a cave. Lots of people who have seen the statue commented that it is ugly, actually very ugly.
The culprit, artist Oliviero Rainaldi might be too lazy (or I just don’t understand modern art) to sculpt and gave the late Pope John Paul II a statue that looked like it was made by a first grader.
Here’s a video of the unveiling of the new statue of Pope John Paul II
Even the officials of the unveiling looked devastated when they saw the statue.

lol! that is not John Paul. that’s a cave with someone’s head!
SO, CAN THEY HAVE THE MONEY BACK??
Did’nt the vatican receive a sample drawing or a miniature replica of the statue from the artist for final review and approval prior to giving the artist the green light to sculpt it?
I agree that the statue is ugly and poorly made. It does not do justice to the good man it is meant to represent.
Why was JPII beatified on May 1st? Did it have anything to do with a guy named: Adam Weishaupt?
