Classes in the preschool, elementary and high school levels in the National Capital Region (NCR) and Regions 3 and 4 have been suspened by the Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday due to continues down pouring of rain caused by tropical depression “Dodong.”
Suspension of classes was announced at around at 4:15AM over the radio and TV.
For universities and colleges suspension of classes depends on the school. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) said that schools in universities or colleges may suspend classes at their own discretion.
PAGASA announced at 12:00 NN that the low pressure area West of Metro Manila has developed into a tropical depresssion and was named “Dodong“.
Signal Number 1 was raised in Bataan, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, Pangasinan, Cavite, and Metro Manila.
