The birth of JaMichael Brown (nicknamed in the hospital as ‘The Moose’) came up as a big news in Texas. The baby boy is so big he could set the record for the biggest baby in Texas.
Michael Brown and Janet Johnson knew their fourth child and first boy will be a big baby but when JaMichael was born he weighed in more than four pounds than what is expected. The doctor originally told them that they are going to have a 12lbs baby, but he turned out to be 16lbs 1oz.
JaMichael’s mother, Janet Johnson, had suffered gestational diabetes during the pregnancy which may have caused the baby’s gigantic size at birth. The baby came into the world via Cesarean section and is currently in intensive care unit of the Good Shepherd Medical Center.
His measurement can be compared to a three to six month old baby. He measured 24″ long, with a head measuring 15″ and a chest measuring 17.” He was also born with a full head of hair.
According to reports, it will take a few more days for officials to declare JaMichael the biggest in Texas as there were also big babies born in other hospitals.
In Guinness World Records, a baby boy born to Anna Bates in 1879 holds the longest and heaviest baby record. The baby measured 76 cm (30 in) long and weighed 10.8 kg (23 lb 12 oz), but the baby died 11 hours later.
