A beach in China looks like a green land due to thick algae that invaded almost 200 sq miles of the Yellow Sea.
The green algae called Enteromopha prolifera covered the coastal waters of Qingdoo, Shandong Province of China.

The massive algae blooms were first seen in the Yellow Sea in 2007 and has approached the Qingdao coast because of the rapid growth. Researchers are not sure what causes the massive green tide but speculate that it may be due to a change in the environment.
Although the algae isn’t toxic, it may have great effects over the tourism industry in the area and also its marine life as it sucks oxygen from the water.
