Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Kyra Sedgwick is back on the case as womanly yet strong, innovative yet resolute CIA-trained Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in The Closer which airs a new season beginning Saturday, September 3 at 8PM to DIVA Universal.
The Closer follows Brenda, a former Atlanta detective who heads the Major Crimes special unit of the LAPD. Her offbeat personality and tough-as nails exterior combined with her knack for spotting clues and securing confessions makes her a force to be reckoned with. Once on the case you can count on Brenda to do whatever it takes to find out the truth, no matter the personal costs. Together with her team of detectives they crack sensitive, high-profile cases and put behind bars some of LA’s most brutal killers.
This season sees the Major Crimes unit take on a civil lawsuit, a major departmental reorganization, a new boss and an unexpected tragedy. Plus, Brenda’s career may now be on the line as a result of her frequently unconventional methods. Could this be the end of Major Crimes Unit?
