The votes are in and after weeks of performing on the American Idol stage Jessica Sanchez and Philip Philips have been chosen by America as the final two performers to compete for the crown. Find out who will be the next American Idol during the Grand Finale LIVE via Satellite this Thursday, May 24 at 8AM on ETC!
The Grand Finale night will be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, where the two remaining finalist will stand on stage before an audience of more than 7000 as well as a global TV audience of millions as host Ryan Seacrest announces the next American Idol. Prior to the results, watch the complete American Idol Season 11 Top 10 return to the stage to perform hit songs from the past season. Superstars Rihanna, Jason Derulo and Aerosmith are also set to perform.
Prior to the announcement Jessica and Philip will perform for the last time for America’s votes during the Top 2 performance show that will be aired on ETC on May 23, Wednesday via satellite at 6PM with a primetime telecast at 7PM and 10PM.

Jessica has a great voice, but Philip is a real artist and is a lot more interesting as an entertainer. ..I would not pay to see her in concert winner or not, especially when she dresses like she is going to her high school prom…oh sorry is she in high school yet? Really???? little girls with big voices do not sell out concert tickets, but perhaps disney specials and movies or sing on broadway…Philip for the win. at least he plays an instrument doesn’t stand and acts like a whitney houston wanna be…
Jessica is adorable and has a big voice…but as an entertainer, I can’t see her selling lots and lots of tickets…she does not move on stage, play instrument and sings like a Mariah wannabe…great voice for a 16 year old for sure…but most of the older fans want a little more entertainment material than seeing a teeny skinny little girl singing grown up old school songs…that were popular before she was even born…creepy to me..
