A naked homeless man identified as Rudy Eugene, 31, was shot dead by police in Miami , Florida on Saturday following the gruesome attack where he ate the face of another homeless man identified as Ronald Poppo, 65, who is now in critical condition. Police believe the violent attack could have been caused by cocaine psychosis or an overdose of “bath salts” a new kind of LSD. With the incident making international news headline, some even say that this is just the start of the zombie apocalypse thing.
The Miami Herald reported, that the incident happened at about 2 p.m. local time near Miami’s busy Biscayne Boulevard.

“The guy was like tearing him to pieces with his mouth, so I told him, ‘Get off!’” he said. “You know, it’s like the guy just kept eating the other guy away, like ripping his skin.”
When Vega found a police officer who repeatedly told the attacker, identified as Rudy Eugene, to get off the man, “the guy just stood his head up like that with a piece of flesh in his mouth and growled,” Vega said. The officer fired but the man continued to eat the victim’s face. The officer fired again several times that eventually killed the attacker.

Officers still are not sure what caused the attack. Some said that he may have been cursed. But officers theorized that a highly potent drug called “bath salts” is to blame for the attack. Bath salts, referred to on the street as the “new LSD,” produces nasty results such as hallucinations, suicidal thoughts and death.
Miami Herald described its effect as baking the body internally which often leads those it affects to strip naked to try to cool off.
“We noticed an increase in “bath salts” incidents probably after Ultra Fest,” told Jackson Memorial Hospital emergency room Dr. Paul Adams to CBSNews. He also told CBS that some have used their jaws as a weapon during attacks and were in a state of delirium.

this entire incident is completely insane, the new drug craze of 2012. it’s horrible what happened to ronald but rudy was high out of his mind. i believe he didn’t deserve to die, they could have attemped another way to control him and gain the control of the entire situation without killing him. this was a lost on both sides no matter what, hopefully everyone acknowledge that. zombie? really come on don’t even got there, just be prepared it’s 2012 people and nothing is what it seems

nothing is ever what it seems except one thing if he was attacking someone you know or loved you’d feel different about how the cops handled it. and furthermore be sure of one more thing if someone like that attacks someone i love they will PRAY for a bullet from the cops.
