The long-awaited British musical film version of the Broadway musical, “Les Miserables” debuted its first teaser trailer online and it features Anne Hathaway as Fantine singing “I Dreamed a Dream” over the footage of the film.
“Les Miserables” also stars Hugh Jackman as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, and Amanda Seyfried as Cosette.

In Les Miserables’s first trailer, Anne Hathaway takes center stage as she sings the famous ballad, “I Dreamed a Dream,” which Universal Pictures Chairman Adam Fogelson described as “raw” and “real.”
The film, directed by Tom Hooper, director of the Oscar-winning “The King’s Speech,” is generating a lot of buzz because the cast sing the songs live during filming, instead of using pre-recorded tracks.
Les Misérables is scheduled to be released on December 14, 2012. Watch the trailer below.
