MATRIX DIRECTOR SEX CHANGE (NOW A WOMAN) – LARRY WACHOWSKI PROMOTES ‘CLOUD ATLAS’ AS LANA

Larry Wachowski, the Hollywood director behind the hit Matrix movies made his first public appearance with a new identity. He is now a she after undergoing a sex-change operation and is now going by the name Lana. In the video, the top film director appears with brother Andy and director Tom Tykwer to promote their upcoming movie ‘Cloud Atlas.’

Sporting a gray dress and pink dreadlocks during the promotion for the film, Wachowski says in a soft breathy voice: “Hi, I’m Lana.” It is the first time Larry outed himself as Lana.

The 47-year-old director has been undergoing hormone therapy as part of his sex change treatment for nearly a decade now, according to the Daily Mail.

Lana, together with Andy and Tykwer directed and wrote the script for ‘Cloud Atlas.’ It is based on British author David Mitchell’s 2004 hit novel which consists of six interlocking stories that take the reader from the remote South Pacific in the nineteenth century to a distant, post-apocalyptic future.

The film, one of the most hotly anticipated this year, stars Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock, Hugh Grant, Susan Sarandon, and many great actors. It is scheduled to be released in the United States on October 26, 2012.
