Six-foot lizard on loose (Animal News by Pinoyhalo). Authorities said that a six-foot-long Nile monitor lizard is on the loose in Teller County, Colorado. A reverse 911 was sent to the residents of the Woodland West, Westwood Lakes and Rosewood Hills sub-divisions on Monday morning around 11:30 to warn them about a black 25-pound lizard that escaped from its owner. According to reports, the six feet reptile which has gone missing after breaking a mesh leash can be aggressive though the owner said that the lizard he calls Dino is harmless.

A 2-foot-long python slipped into the crib of sleeping baby boy from Mattoon, Illinois, and wrapped itself around the child’s foot trying to eat it. According to reports, at around 11pm on Monday, the boy’s parents heard their son crying, and when they went to check on him they found a ball python wrapped around the baby’s left foot. The 1-year-old boy’s dad, Devin Winans, used a blanket to pull the python off the child and turned the animal over to the Coles County Animal Shelter. The mother took his son to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center to be treated for a bite, a bruise and scratches.
